Arlington Election Guide 2025


Election Day in Arlington is November 4, but early voting is already underway. For more information on how to vote, go to vote.arlingtonva.gov/Elections.

Important Dates

  • Early Voting: Now until November 1 (Click here for locations and times.)
  • Last day to register to vote: October 24, 2025 (After this, you can still do same-day registration, but you'll have to file a provisional ballot.)
  • Last day to apply for a mail ballot: October 24, 2025 at 5 pm
  • Election Day: November 4

Races and Candidates

There are six races on the ballot if you live in Arlington:

  • Virginia Governor
  • Virginia Lieutenant Governor
  • Virginia Attorney General
  • Arlington County Board (1 seat)
  • Arlington School Board (1 seat)
  • Virginia House of Delegates Races

Statewide Races

The candidates for governor are Abigail Spanberger (Democrat) and Winsome Earle-Sears (Republican). You can watch the debate between these candidates here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sD9H8eeZLj4

The candidates for lieutenant governor are Ghazala Hashmi (Democrat) and John Reid (Republican). They did not have a debate.

Arlington County Board

There are five candidates running for one County Board seat:

  • Takis P. Karantonis (Democrat, Incumbent)
  • Bob Cambridge (Republican)
  • Audrey R. Clement (Independent)
  • Jeramy L. Olmack (Independent)
  • Carlos "DC" De Castro Pretelt (Independent)

Voters can rank their top three candidates using ranked choice voting (more details here).

  • Monique A. "Moe" Bryant

Virginia House of Delegates Races in Arlington

Arlington has three representatives in the Virginia House of Delegates. To find out which district you live in, you can view this map on the County's website.

District 1

The two candidates in this race are:

  • Patrick A. Hope (Democrat, Incumbent)
  • William J. "Bill" Moher III (Republican)
